Bella Poarch was born in the Philippines on February 9 1997 to her natural Filipino parents. She was adopted at the age of 3 by her grandmother living in slums. Her adoptive parents are both Filipinos and her white American adopted dad is military experience. She says her adoptive brother and she suffered abuse from the time they were children until she enlisted. Her family lived with her Uncle in San Francisco for several months prior to moving back home Texas for her 13th birthday because of the necessity of her father to undergo bypass surgery. Although the physical violence subsided but she says that she endured mental violence from her father back at home. She became a part of at the United States Navy at age 18. Poarch launched her TikTok page in April 2020. In less than 8 months, she'd accumulated over 40 million followers. Poarch posted numerous videos. Her biggest moment was her music video featuring MillieB's viral track Soph Aspin Send. It became one of TikTok's most viewed videos. The video was zoomed-in to show her dancing rhythmically, as well as lip-syncing with the tune went viral. She started her YouTube as well as Twitter accounts in the months following joining TikTok to benefit from the growing popularity. Her fame grew rapidly around the month of December of 2020.
